Found Magazine’s Street Treasures
October 10 – November 18
In 2001, Davy Rothbart found an angry note on his car meant for someone else. After sharing this with friends and collecting more found things; Found Magazine took root a year later, “as a way for everyone to join forces and share their finds with everyone else…a showcase for all the strange, hilarious and heartbreaking things people have picked up.” The Found exhibition displays these “photos, love letters, kids’ homework, to-do lists, poetry on napkins, doodles – anything that gives a glimpse into someone else’s life.” These items have been found in places all over the country, along with some of the notes from the finders and the envelopes in which they were sent.
