The Jansma Collection at Grand Rapids Art Museum:
Five Centuries of Masterpieces
The exhibition The Jansma Print Collection at the Grand Rapids Art Museum: Five Centuries of Masterpieces celebrates the donation of The Flight into Egypt by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo (Italian, 1727–1804).
Acquisition of the set of 18th-century prints by Tiepolo marks a milestone for the Jansma Print Collection by representing Christian art in five consecutive centuries of printmaking. These gifts help make GRAM a destination for print scholars, printmakers, and students.
Other artists featured in this exhibition and representing each century are: Albrecht Dürer, 16th century; Rembrandt van Rijn, 17th century; Edouard Manet, 19th century; and Max Pechstein, 20th century.
