Join us on Friday, November 1 at 1:30pm in the CFAC Recital Hall for an
Artist Performance in conjunction with the new exhibition “Exquisite
History 3: Visionary Workbook.”
At 6pm that same day, a reception will be held at the Center Art Gallery
for the opening of both “Exquisite History 3” and “A Prodigal Story for
the Marketplace.” Both of these new exhibitions will be open through
“Exquisite History 3” completes a series of three books published over the
last decade by a collective called The Printmakers Left. This exhibition
features the workbooks of 27 participating artists along with related
prints, paintings, drawings and sculpture.
Drawing on the college’s own Prodigal Son series of six prints from the
Italian Remondini frim, and coupled with other loans of prints and printed
materials, “A Prodigal Story for the Marketplace” seeks to address the
swelling visual culture of eighteenth-century Europe.
